Hmmm let’s see...my first game that I can remember was a Klondike version of solitaire and a flight simulator that I played on a Commodore 64 at my grandfather’s house. That experience got the ball rolling. My first real FPS started with a game by the name of Duke Nukem 3D. I would direct modem dial into a friends computer at his house and play death match for hours or until my mom needed the phone. I played several games there after like Heretic, Doom 2, Blake Stone, and Hexen and Hexen 2.I was groomed to play FPS's. Several years later I upgrade my 70 MHz Packard Bell to a 733 MHz Pentium 3 Dell. Warcraft 1,2 and then BNE started taking over. Craving another good FPS my friend to me to try Half-Life. This opened the gates to a new beta game called counter-strike that I borrow from a friend who had it sent to him as a game to try while playing in some fightsim clan. It consumed my life for 5 years. After the dell I swore that I would never buy another retail PC (which I haven’t). I had a Compaq socket A 1.1 GHz computer donated to me with a bad mobo and I turned it into a pure gaming rig with a little under $100. Once I had this rig up and running I began playing another HL mod known as Day of Defeat. To this day this game consumes my life. I’ve competed in several CAL seasons in DoD v1.3 and am currently getting into the source version of the game. I love playing games of all sorts (except MMO's) and will continue to love playing them.
